John brings more than 30 years of oil and gas leadership to Well Checked, with a career defined by driving efficiency, elevating field performance, and leading high‑impact teams across multiple basins. His deep understanding of production operations and the daily realities facing field personnel makes him uniquely equipped to champion our customers and strengthen our operational excellence.
Previously, John served for 9 years as Senior Vice President at Ascent Resources, one of the largest privately held exploration and production companies in the United States. Prior to Ascent he was Chesapeake Energy’s Mid Continent Business Unit Vice President. Additionally, John has served as Chairman of Oklahoma Energy Explores, Chairman of the API RP 90-2 RP Committee, Chairman of the LOGA Technical Committee, the Co-Author of the Marcellus Shale Coalition’s Well Completion and Work-Over Operations Best Practices and has been integral in leading the development of internal Standards and Best Practices for BJ Services, Chesapeake, and Ascent Resources.
